In Ohio, we have collected over
8,000 signatures in the past two months, mostly with paid petitioners,
at a cost of about $40,000. In Alaska, we are nearly to our goal of
6,000 total signatures, at a cost of $18,000. In Nevada, we are more
than half way to our goal, having gathered 12,000 signatures so far,
and the estimated total cost for these will be
$60,000-$80,000.
Even when it’s a volunteer-led
effort by amazing folks in “The 500 Club,” signature gathering is
costly because of printing expenses, travel costs, and filing fees.
But it’s worth every penny so that voters like you can have an
anti-genocide, anti-duopoly option in November.
Every little bit donated today
helps volunteers continue their work which is why we are asking
everyone who gets this email to match The 500 Club’s signature effort
with dollars. Will you support our ballot access efforts and
volunteers by donating $5 in honor of “The 500 Club” right
now?
