John,
Make sure to read your local paper this week!
Newspapers throughout the Dayton area are going to have absentee ballot requests printed in their Sunday papers.
The Dayton Daily News, Springfield News-Sun and Journal-News will all be providing the absentee ballot request forms in collaboration with the Ohio Secretary of State. These forms can then be cut out of the paper, filled out, and mailed to your local board of elections.
It’s important to note that officials suggest that voters mail absentee ballot request forms as soon as possible to give the county time to process your application and mail you your ballot. Make sure to get the ballot back in the mail postmarked no later than April 27!
In-person voting will be offered on April 28, but will only occur at boards of elections early voting centers and is only available for people with disabilities who require in-person voting and those who do not have a home mailing address.
If you have already voted, you should not request another ballot as your vote will be counted on April 28.
Thank you,
Mike Turner
