A few weeks ago, Donald Trump visited Michigan to rally his supporters. At the time it was his third visit in 8 months because, as he said, “If we win Michigan, we win the election.”

He’s admitting what we’ve always known: Trump can’t win the White House – and Republicans can’t flip the Senate – without winning Michigan.

And this won’t be the last time we see Donald Trump here in Michigan, spewing lies about our state and its people.

That rally is an indication that Republicans are gearing up to throw everything they can at Michigan, and that Michigan Democrats can’t take anything for granted.

No matter what anyone may tell you, Michigan is a swing state – full stop. And just as we have swung toward Democrats, Michigan is known for swinging right on back.
