NBC: Kari Lake suggests supporters 'strap on a Glock' to be ready for 2024 [[link removed]]
John: Sometimes the headline is all we need.
Failed MAGA gubernatorial candidate and current Senate hopeful Kari Lake told supporters they can " strap on a Glock " to be prepared for the intensity of the 2024 campaign and urged military and law enforcement veterans to be "ready," as her race heats up in a key battleground state.
This isn't some "out of context" misunderstanding. She literally said she and her supporters needed to " put on our helmet or your Kari Lake ball cap. We are going to put on the armor of God. And maybe strap on a Glock on the side of us just in case .”
It is terrifying that, 234 years after George Washington first took office as president, we have a major party candidate for Senate instigating fear and the potential need for political violence on behalf of herself and a candidate for president.
Because of course Trump is tied to this: “ We need to send people to Washington, D.C., that the swamp does not want there, ” Kari Lake also said in the same speech. “And I can think of a couple people they don’t want there. First on that list is Donald J. Trump; second is Kari Lake. ”
Don't forget -- Arizona was already the state where armed vigilantes were caught on camera questioning and threatening voters at drop box locations in 2020 and 2022 . This is voter intimidation in the extreme, brought to you by an extremist movement who think they deserve to win no matter how much of a minority opinion they are. A movement that has already broken the rules and spawned an insurrection that defiled our Capitol.
We have to spread the word in Arizona and across the country about candidates who call for this kind of voter intimidation and political violence. Fuel our efforts to educate and turn out voters with $25 or whatever you can right now >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
