Ruth’s List is excited to announce our latest endorsement – Geraldine Thompson , running for re-election to the Florida Senate in District 15!
Senator Geraldine Thompson has spent over 40 years serving her community. She has served in both chambers of the state legislature, chaired the Women Legislative Caucus and the Orange County Legislative Delegation, was a classroom teacher in Orange County Public Schools, a Board Member of the Orlando Children’s Trust and the YMCA, founded the Wells'Built Museum of African American History and Culture, and so much more.
She has been an advocate for sensible gun laws to protect her community, and fought for Florida’s environment, improvements to our schools so that each of our children has an equal opportunity to receive a quality education, and she has fought to diversify our state’s economy to provide livable wages for all Floridians.

The profound impact that Geraldine Thompson has had on Central Florida communities and the state of Florida as a whole will be felt for generations to come. For over four decades, she has been a tireless fighter and champion for children and families, and a pillar for women and girls to look up to as a legislative and local community leader.
