John, I’ll be honest: When I started VOT, I had big dreams, but I didn’t quite know what to expect.
Would adults take high school and college age organizers seriously? Would adults be willing to invest in my generation and our future? And would Gen Zers like me be able to have a real impact on our democracy?
Having an organization founded and run by Gen Z to mobilize Gen Z was never done at this scale before. And the truth is, failure was more likely than success.
But the answers to my questions above have been a resounding YES.

Adults like you take us seriously. Adults like you are willing to invest in our futures. And yes, VOT is having a real impact on our democracy.
We have chapters on hundreds of college campuses, with new chapters popping up all the time. We’ve registered thousands of new voters. And we’ve helped turn out thousands of Gen Z voters in key states to protect abortion rights and our democracy.
To put it simply, VOT is defying the odds. And it’s because adults like you are willing to put your faith in Gen Zers like me.
