Legislative Update
Congratulations to Mason, Emma, John, and Prescott for their outstanding accomplishment in being selected for the 9th and 10th grade MN All-State Honor Band. Your dedication and talent have truly set you apart, as evidenced by your selection from over 300 auditioning students across the state. Little Falls Community Schools is incredibly proud to have the second most students represented in this year?s band. This is not just a personal triumph, but also a testament to the vibrant musical spirit within our community.
The Education Omnibus Bill heads to the house floor after being passed along party lines out of committee. This bill woefully underfunds students and teachers instead of investing in the systems that have led to less than half of our students reading at grade level. We need to invest in the science of reading and the future of our students.
On Monday we spent hours on the house floor debating several bills including the controversial Commerce Omnibus Bill. The most egregious portion of this bill includes a grant program to subsidize ?New Americans? that a large portion of the money will by the democrats' own vote go to illegals.
Tonight, the Bingo Extravaganza is taking place at the Little Falls VFW. Hosted by the Lindbergh Lions, this exciting Bingo Night promises a fun-filled evening for all attendees. Make sure to grab your friends, family, and neighbors for a memorable night out! Remember, you must be 18 years of age or older to play.
