The FDA relaxed blood donation guidelines for LGBTQ+ men, but frankly, it didn’t go far enough.

The 12-month ban, and even the new 3-month ban, preventing LGBTQ+ men from donating blood is arbitrary and discriminatory.

This is a crisis. Hospitals are in desperate need of blood.

While lowering it is a step in the right direction, the ban should have been lifted altogether. We need 5,000 signatures today to tell the FDA that this ban is discriminatory and it should be scrapped. Add your name today to call on the FDA to lift the ban on blood donations from LGBTQ+ men.
