Last week, Donald Trump signed an executive order creating a
"Presidential Commission on Election Integrity" -- if you're rolling your
eyes at the idea of "Donald Trump" and "integrity" in the same sentence,
you're not alone.

Like so much of what the Trump administration has done, this
commission is a sham. It stems from Trump's ongoing complaint that
there were between 3 and 5 million "illegal" votes that cost him the
popular vote in last year's election (which, by the way, is completely
ridiculous -- you're more likely to find someone who's been struck by
lightning than committed in-person voter fraud).

We know the truth behind this new commission. It's a propaganda
factory designed to justify the GOP's ongoing efforts to make it harder
for people of color, working families, students, and seniors to exercise
the right to vote.

Look no further than the man Trump put in charge -- Kris Kobach, who
has devoted his career to lying about voter fraud in order to keep African
American and Latino voters from the polls. He's been the architect of some
of the most restrictive voting laws in the country. Now he's in charge of
"election integrity?" Give me a break.

We can't trust Donald Trump, Kris Kobach, Jeff Sessions, or anyone in
this administration -- it's up to us protect access to the ballot box.
