Hi Friend,
With the Orbis community celebrating Earth Day on Monday, we want to share the moment 250 new “vision bikes” were donated to improve eye care outreach in Zambia.
The bikes, generously donated by eye care partner Qatar Fund for Development through the Qatar Creating Vision project, will improve access to essential eye care in remote communities across 10 districts in the Copperbelt region of the country.
Thanks to your support, Orbis Zambia has trained a team of Community Health Workers to visit communities to raise awareness of eye health, provide screenings, and refer those with issues to the nearest vision center.
This project is both kind to eyes and to the planet. What’s not to love.
