The Secretary-General of the People's Action Party Lee Hsien Loong announced that he will step down as Prime Minister on May 15. His deputy, Lawrence Wong, will officially become Singapore’s third Prime Minister that day.

Singapore has flourished under PM Lee's leadership over the past 20 years. From strengthening social safety nets to providing opportunities for all, PM Lee has transformed Singapore and advanced the country on the global stage.
