Sign the petition to Congress: Pass legislation to expand clean energy transmission >> [link removed]

As you know, friend, we need to be rapidly transitioning to a clean energy economy to tackle the climate crisis. In fact, President Biden has a goal of 100% clean energy by 2045.

Getting more people access to renewable energies like solar and wind will improve the reliability of the grid and reduce your energy bills.

But right now there are thousands of gigawatts of renewable energy awaiting permission to connect to U.S. power lines. These wait times can last five years or longer sometimes.

We can’t afford to wait, especially when the amount of clean energy just sitting there ready to go is more than the total capacity of all existing American power plants. We’re in danger of losing 80% of the emissions reductions expected from the Inflation Reduction Act if we don’t double down on building new transmission.

The solution is for Congress to pass legislation that expands transmission for clean energy. Friend, will you sign our petition to Congress?

It’s important that our elected federal leaders know the support — and urgency — of this issue.

Thanks for being with us.
