The San Diego region has a long history of welcoming individuals and families seeking asylum with open arms. But too often, these communities’ basic human needs are not met as they await the next step in the immigration legal process.
Last week, Scott announced that he helped secure
$39 million in funding for organizations that work to help migrant communities secure shelter, food, and other critical resources.
He’s working to ensure anyone who seeks asylum or refuge in the U.S. is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
But, this is just one step toward comprehensive immigration reform that balances border security with our humanitarian values.
As Scott continues this important work, he needs to know where you stand:
Do you think Congress should do more to expand legal pathways and critical resources for migrants seeking refuge and asylum in the U.S.?
Thanks for making your voice heard.
