Dear John,
I hope you and yours are doing everything you can to remain safe and healthy during the unprecedented challenges caused by COVID-19.
On Tuesday, April 7 at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT, ADL is offering an important new webinar in the Fighting Hate from Home series to help unite and inform our community, “Zoombombing and other threats to your videoconferencing.”
We invite you to sign up now. (Please note the Tuesday timing; due to Passover, this webinar and next week’s have been shifted from our usual Thursday schedule.)
ADL and The Secure Community Network (SCN), the official homeland security and safety organization of the Jewish community in North America, are jointly hosting this webinar.
The coronavirus pandemic has led to more people convening meetings and religious gatherings online, so there has been an uptick in virtual meetings being disrupted by graphic or threatening messages, actions and hate speech. ADL’s Center on Extremism will provide a briefing on how extremists are exploiting video conferencing technology to target certain groups and advancing their hateful messages. SCN will provide recommendations on how you and the organizations you are involved with can prevent and mitigate these threats.
