✊I’m Ivonne and I’ve been a leader with The Squad since 2021.
I felt called to build a community with undocumented young people across the country after my job let me go for over a month when my DACA expired because of the renewal backlog.
Myself and my family are under a constant threat of detention and deportation every day that we don’t have permanent protections, and that really takes a toll on our mental health. The Squad has provided me a space to gain leadership skills and make impactful connections with people who share my experience too.💪 Ready to squad up and fight back with us?

DACA has been a lifeline for thousands of families like mine, but it’s really just a band-aid solution. All of us in The Squad have a clear shared vision of what we need our future to look like and what it takes to get there together.
Our immigrant communities are already such a powerful force despite the barriers we face, imagine how much we can accomplish with the liberation and economic freedom that a pathway to citizenship would provide.
