John, it may be spring break, but we still have our homework.

I’m not talking about math sheets, but advocating for a safer future – our safer future.

The gun violence crisis is pervasive and heartbreaking. The safety of schools and our communities depends on advocating every single day until we end gun violence – and we’re doing just that.

When school is on break, I’m able to spend more time fundraising to fuel our organizing, meeting with educators faced with the dangerous practice of being armed, and advocating for safer schools and communities. But spring breaks don’t last forever.

So I’ve set a special goal of raising $10,000 before I go back to classes next week. This time can be a huge opportunity – one that sets us up for success when we’re back in the classroom and can’t focus all our time on funding this lifesaving work. But that’ll only happen if everyone who cares about this crisis chips in – you included, John.
