John,
This week, reports have emerged about the Israeli military’s horrific human rights abuses against Palestinians, a new mass grave discovered at Al-Shifa Hospital, and a drone strike that targeted a playground and killed 11 children in Gaza.
At the same time, President Biden and members of Congress are once again considering sending more military aid to Israel with no conditions.
After six months of death and destruction, at least 33,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 76,000 injured, with millions now facing starvation. And our government wants to send more money to contribute to this?
Like AOC told Mehdi Hasan, “If we want safety in this region, we have to condition U.S. military aid to Israel—which we do to every country in the world by the way—it's actually stopping the exemptions instead of creating one."
Congress should not reward Netanyahu's campaign of genocide and famine against the Palestinian people with $26 billion in taxpayer money for bombs and weapons.
We cannot allow our government to continue funding the genocide and ethnic cleansing of innocent Palestinians. Let’s keep using our voices to demand better.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
