John, did you see Ellen's message about how 2024 could be another "Year of the Woman?"

In the wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision overturning Roe v. Wade, we've turned our outrage into a surge of grassroots energy similar to that of 1992, which was named the "Year of the Woman" after EMILYs List membership grew exponentially and we elected four new women to the Senate and 20 to the House.

This cycle, we're fighting hard to elect more Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and restore abortion access across the country. If we don't have the support of our millions-strong community, we won't have enough resources to keep up this critical work. We know 2024 can be another "Year of the Woman," but we can't do it without you.

So, please, can you take a moment to read Ellen's message and donate to support Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot this cycle?

John,

It's clear as day that Democrats are more fired up than ever to elect pro-choice women.

Over the past year, we've seen Democratic pro-choice women defeat Republicans nationwide; anti-choice ballot initiatives have been overwhelmingly rejected by voters in not-so-blue states like Kansas and Ohio; Wisconsin elected pro-choice champion Janet Protasiewicz to their state Supreme Court (with EMILYs List's support!); and state leaders are fighting hard to pass pro-choice ballot measures.

I've seen this kind of grassroots energy before -- back in 1992. That was the year EMILYs List grew our membership by 600%, elected four new women to the Senate, and elected 20 to the House. It quickly became known as the "Year of the Woman."

Well, guess what? I think 2024 is about to be the "Year of the Woman" all over again.

Americans overwhelmingly agree with our pro-choice values -- no doubt about it. We just need more resources to recruit, train, and support candidates to make those values into policy. So I'm personally asking: Will you make a contribution to EMILYs List today?

I've seen a lot as the founder of EMILYs List. We were a much smaller organization in 1992, organizing to defeat anti-choice extremists, and women nationwide were inspired to get involved and demand better representation.

Today, it's been almost two years since the ultraconservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and obliterated national abortion rights. Twenty states have banned or significantly restricted abortion, and women across the country are enraged. And I know that this year, much like we did in 1992, we can turn our anger into action to elect more Democratic pro-choice women than ever.

I know we can make 2024 another "Year of the Woman," John. I know we can protect the Senate majority by electing and reelecting candidates like Elissa Slotkin, Jacky Rosen, and Tammy Baldwin, and send pro-choice champions like Yadira Caraveo, Mary Peltola, and Lauren Underwood to take back the House -- but we need your help.

So that's why I'm asking, John: Will you donate to help elect Democratic pro-choice women and restore abortion access across the country?
