Dear John,
Last weekend, I was excited to join thousands of residents from across Miami-Dade at Miami Beach’s Pride celebration. Every moment at #MiamiBeachPride was a celebration of love and unity, and a powerful reminder that together we can create a world where everyone feels accepted and valued.
Pride is also a reminder that our community’s diversity is its strength. And it’s a reminder that in order to ensure that Miami-Dade remains a welcoming, inclusive community for all, we need to elect pro-equality leaders at all levels of government.
As your State Senator, I was proud to fight back against attacks on the LGBTQ community in Tallahassee. I’ll do the same as your Clerk of the Court and Comptroller. |
As the official charged with overseeing numerous government services — including the issuing of marriage licenses — Miami-Dade’s Clerk and Comptroller plays an active role in ensuring our government is inclusive and welcoming to all residents.
As a proud ally and longtime advocate for LGBTQ equality — and all Miami-Dade residents — I’m committed to delivering on that promise as your Clerk and Comptroller.
Thank you for joining me in celebrating Pride and building a welcoming and inclusive future for all residents. As I said in the parade, in Florida, we should be able to say Gay! Warmly,
Annette
