Hi John.
I understand Kansans are being squeezed by the cost of groceries these days. Seeing higher costs for meat, bread, vegetables, and more is a lot to absorb week after week.
So today, I wanted to take this opportunity to learn more about your concerns. I'm honored to serve you on the U.S. House Agriculture Committee. I'm working with Republicans and Democrats to help get grocery costs down. Listening to you can help inform my work, so please click below to begin taking my survey >>

My mom raised my brothers and me on her own. I later worked multiple jobs to make my way through college and am still paying off my student loans. I understand hardworking people are facing a lot of challenges these days.
That's why my priority is building an economy that works for everyone. A big part of that is making life more affordable and bringing down grocery costs.
That includes working with Kansas agricultural producers to secure our supply chains. This way, Kansas farmers can grow their crops more efficiently and bring down costs.
I'm also pushing to ensure more competition in key sectors like meat and poultry. Big corporations shouldn't take advantage of consumers and keep raising prices on everything from meat to bread and eggs.
And I'm focused on passing a long-term, bipartisan Farm Bill. This is a major piece of legislation that reauthorizes many of our nation's most important agricultural policies. We need a strong Farm Bill to keep growing our state's largest economic sector and lower costs.
There's a lot more work to do, so I hope you'll click below to share your thoughts >>
