NVFS Director, Kate Reen, on Good Morning Washington

Check out our very own Kate Reen, Director of NVFS’ Youth Initiatives, on Good Morning Washington. As part of March’s Social Work Month, Kate shared what social workers do, their holistic outlook, and some of her personal successes as a social worker. A big thank you to Kate and all our NVFS social workers who work every day to meet the needs of our neighbors during their journey to wellbeing!

NVFS’ 100 Years of Service Celebration Silent Auction Sneak Peek

We're finalizing our packages for the 100 Years of Service silent auction, an exciting way to support NVFS and the Northern Virginia community, and we wanted to share a sneak peek of some of our early favorite packages:

- Experience the beauty and challenge of the Congressional Country Club golf course, the #1 Platinum Club in the country as you and two of your guests join a member for this fantastic experience on an iconic course.

- Enjoy a delectable meal with an in-home Chef Experience prepared by NVFS Escala graduate Chef Mario Mendoza.

- Luxuriate during a weekend getaway at The Greenbrier.

- Savor some hard-to-acquire bourbons, perfect for the whiskey afficionados amongst us.

The link to bid on these items AND more will be made available later this month. Anlso, you don't have to attend the celebration to bid! Sign up now to join us for the auction if you can't join us in person. Tickets to the celebration are still available too!

National Volunteer Week

Volunteers are, and have always been, vitally important to NVFS. Did you know that NVFS was founded by volunteers 100 years ago? Today, with the support of our dedicated volunteers, NVFS helps more than 30,000 of our neighbors on their journeys to wellbeing. In fact, this year alone, 2,000 volunteers contributed more than 28,000 hours of service across Northern Virginia!

This National Volunteer Week we want to make sure everyone knows that NVFS Volunteers ROCK!

Join us and volunteer to make a difference in our community. Email us at [email protected] and we'll figure out the perfect opportunity, together.
