We just launched our Divest from Harm, Invest in Care Assembly in Atlanta to refine the focus of our developing campaign with members, movement allies, and funders. Together, we will explore the harmful ways money is invested in our economy and how to fund the resources that our communities actually need.

In the lead up to the Assembly, we’ve engaged members in political education around divestment and investment, and discussed the intersection between militarism, the climate crisis, and a feminist economy. We’ll be delving deeper into these issues and introducing our Transformative Organizing Model to build collective leadership and protagonism. We are excited to collaborate with allies in Atlanta and support local work rooted in our shared values like the campaign to [Stop Cop City]([link removed]).

Feminist Peace Summit: End the war at home and abroad

Join us [virtually]([link removed]) at the [Feminist Peace Summit]([link removed])in Denver, Colorado, a creative, participatory effort to transform U.S. foreign policies steeped in war and militarism by advancing feminist and internationalist values.

The Summit is organized by the Feminist Peace Initiative, a collaboration between Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, MADRE, and Women Cross DMZ, in partnership with The Inclusive Global Leadership Initiative at the Sié Center at the Josef Korbel School at the University of Denver.

We are convening this Summit in the face of intensifying militarization and climate devastation at home and abroad, and believe that social movements must urgently call for genuine human security grounded in peace, justice, and ecological sustainability.

Keep pressure on stopping the U.S.-Israel genocide of Palestine now

This week marks more than 190 days of genocide inflicted by Israel on Palestine, killing 32,000 people and counting. On March 7, GGJ members joined hundreds of protesters [blockading President Biden’s motorcade]([link removed]) on its way to the Capitol for his State of the Union address, demanding a permanent [#CeasefireNow]([link removed]), an end to the ongoing genocide, and a stop to U.S. weapons funding to Israel.

The action [delayed the President’s speech by 30 minutes]([link removed]), increasing pressure on Biden to change course on his support of Israel’s atrocities. As millions of people across the world continue taking to the streets for a permanent ceasefire and an end to Israel’s occupation of Palestine, the [Uncommitted Movement]([link removed]) in the U.S. mobilized over one million voters to send a clear message that support for Biden’s candidacy is tied to his decisions around Palestine.

Israel is blocking aid to Gaza, inducing famine, and displacing 1.7 million people. We must increase pressure and force Biden to stop bankrolling this genocide. Take action today:
