Dear John,
We are just over 200 days away from Election Day 2024. As we look ahead to a spring and summer full of key local, state, and federal primaries, Rock the Vote is ramping up our efforts to engage the 16 million young people who will be eligible to vote in their first presidential election.
I wanted to share a few highlights, below, of how Rock the Vote has been working to mobilize young voters already this year. From partnering with brands like Sony Music, to entertainers like the Queens from SIX the Musical, and sports partners like the WNBPA, to continuing to update our voter technology – we are working hard to ensure young people are ready and excited to vote! And this is just the start!
We know that young people will be critical deciders in this year’s elections. This year, Millennials and Gen Z will comprise over 44% of eligible voters. Young voters have broken turnout records in the past few federal elections thanks in large part to efforts by third party organizations like Rock the Vote and the generous supporters like you who contribute to our mission. Their participation is critical to this election and our democracy.
The future of our democracy lies with the future of this nation: young people. But mobilizing new, young voters at this scale takes time and resources. The investments we make now will make all the difference in what happens this November – and we need to keep this momentum going. The stakes are high, but with your support, we can do our part to ensure record-breaking turnout. |

Over two million people will turn 18 and become eligible to vote between today and the general election. We’re already hard at work on programs and outreach to mobilize these new voters, but we can’t do it alone – we need your help to invest in the newest generation of young voters.
Your generosity means the world to us. Thank you for being part of the Rock the Vote community.
Let's make 2024 the year of the youth vote!
In gratitude,
Carolyn DeWitt President & Executive Director Rock the Vote P.S. – Here are just a few recent highlights of how Rock the Vote has been working to mobilize young voters: |

Mobilizing Voters with SIX the Musical
At Rock the Vote, we’ve always known how much artists elevate the culture and drive progress forward. That’s why we’re so proud to partner with SIX the Musical to get people involved in the political process – both with theatergoers on Broadway and in Times Square! “Queens Rock the Vote” encouraged people to check their voter registration status, register to vote, and get ready to turn out in this year’s elections!

Creating a Culture of Voting
Our democracy depends on a culture that values civic engagement – and brands have the power to shape culture and drive civic action, within their companies and beyond. We’ve started the 2024 election cycle strong with our Brands for Democracy initiative! We’re creating a culture of voting in the break room, in the checkout line, and beyond. We’re proud to bring companies together and support their efforts to empower employees and customers to vote.
