Keeping the Senate blue this year starts and ends in Montana.
While most election related news coverage has intently focused on the presidential race, the battle for control of the U.S. Senate will start and end in Montana.
In what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive and expensive elections of the year, Sen. Jon Tester is facing MAGA extremist Tim Sheehy. Sheehy has made a name for himself courting controversy left and right since announcing his campaign.
Among other things Sheehy has called for:
- Rolling back life-saving, common-sense gun regulations.
- “Privatizing healthcare” — in essence, killing Obamacare.
And that's just the short list, John.
On the other hand, Jon Tester has been working hard for the people of Montana, and unlike Sheehy has the record to show. With a 51-49 Senate majority, we must do everything in our power to reelect Jon and prevent MAGA from capturing both of Montana’s Senate seats.

If elected, Sheehy would be one of the richest senators — and he's already poured over $1 million into his own campaign.
And what’s worse, out of state actors and GOP dark money groups have set their eyes on Montana, seeing it as one of their greatest chances to reclaim a majority to implement their extremist agenda and have since spent millions on false attack ads on Jon.
Unfortunately it's working, John. The race between Sheehy and Tester is continuing to tighten with Sheehy currently leading Tester by three points.
We need to catch up to close this gap before it’s too late. With 7% of Montana voters still undecided, we have the time to erase to Sheehy’s advantage but we’ll need a boost in resources.
