Something I’ve always prioritized as an elected official is making sure the deck isn’t stacked against folks. And right now, we have a flat tax rate in the Commonwealth doing just that.
When I think back on my dad working as a janitor at a private school I get frustrated. Knowing that under the current tax code janitors are subject to the same rates as billionaires just doesn’t seem right.
