John,
Jared has dedicated his work in Congress to being a leader on climate and the environment. He is a tireless advocate for bold climate action, transformative investments in clean energy, and protection of our natural resources. That includes confronting our plastics pollution crisis.
Just last month, he led a call to action with colleagues in the House and Senate, encouraging Secretary of State Antony Blinken to push for action on plastic pollution at the upcoming Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) session in Ottawa, Canada, where Jared will be part of a congressional delegation. Plastic pollution not only threatens our environment, it’s becoming increasingly clear that it threatens public health.
Our response to the climate crisis must also address the worsening crisis of plastic pollution. That’s why Jared is laser-focused on comprehensive, bold efforts to push back on the fossil fuel and petrochemical industries that are attempting to quadruple global plastic production in the years ahead.
As he continues this important work, we want to know where you stand: What are your top environmental priorities for this year?
John, it’s clear: we can’t keep waiting for congressional Republicans to see the light. The climate crisis is not only real, it’s increasingly deadly and we’re running out of time to seriously confront it.
This is the work Jared is known for in Congress. Jared has always made protecting our environment and taking action on climate change his top priorities, and these fights are more urgent than ever.
But it’s not easy – it requires constant rededication, ongoing support and commitment from all of us to ensure we can keep making the necessary progress to preserve a livable planet for future generations.
John, take a moment to respond to our survey and let us know what your top environmental priorities are for 2024:
Thanks for being a part of this movement.
