If your answer was five figures worth of student loans that I’m still paying off, then ding, ding, ding! You’d be correct.

I know I’m not alone in this, either. Millions of Americans are saddled with sky-high student loan payments, but now President Biden has provided $153 billion in student debt relief, which means 4.3 million working families would have a light at the end of the never-ending tunnel of payments.

But last year, the Supreme Court struck down Biden’s previous plans for massive student debt cancellation. And the risk of them stepping in again to stop Biden’s efforts is still in play.

Let me be clear: No matter what the Supreme Court does or does not do, I will fight to give borrowers across the country federal support by eliminating federal interest rates and expanding our Pell Grant opportunities.

Receiving a higher education shouldn’t mean signing your income away decades after you’ve walked the stage. If you’re with me, add your name to demand federal support for borrowers.
