Do you remember what happened in 2016?Donald Trump was a budding tyrant, misinformation was rampant, and too many people were persuaded by false promises and false choices. The result:

Four years of a Trump administration, children in cages at the border, the sharpest climb in unemployment since the Great Depression, and an insurrection at the United States Capitol. And 2024 could repeat the mistakes of 2016.

Here's what I mean — third-party candidates threaten to hand Trump a win this year. Already, some candidates are polling at 9 percent in the national popular vote. In 2016, third-party candidates received 5.73 percent of the vote — in some states, the percentage was as high as 21 percent! This is how Trump will win, not by persuading more voters or growing his coalition, but through third-party candidates tricking pro-democracy voters into wasting their votes.

This is dangerous; it sets up a second term for the most dangerous president our country has ever seen — and at a time when the world needs leadership and stability. We need to stop the Trump agenda before it's too late, and there's only one way to do it: reaching out to voters directly.

One Country Fund has a grassroots network ready to contact rural voters and help them stand up to MAGA extremism, but we need your help to get this done. Can you donate $5 today to help us stop Donald Trump and the third-party candidates that are trying to hand him the election this year? [[link removed]]

Let's do this together,

Tessa
