Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
Loss. Hunger. Unspeakable violence. Trauma after trauma, day after day.
That’s what millions of kids in Sudan have been experiencing this past year, John. Like Nagi, whose story you can read below.
Right now, almost 25 million people there need lifesaving humanitarian support – but aid workers are struggling to reach them amidst the ongoing conflict.
There will be no safety for Sudan’s children until this fighting stops. Add your voice to our ceasefire petition now. [[link removed]]

John,
One year ago today, violence broke out in Sudan’s capital city.
Nagi’s* mom was at the market when it happened, miles away from her children. Rana* rushed back home on foot, where her family packed essentials and eventually fled.
Like 8.2 million others, they’re still displaced – haunted by memories of burning tanks and late-night explosions. “[The kids] were psychologically affected,” Rana says. “Whenever I see them spacing out, I try to distract them. I do not allow it to take over.”
I know you agree, John: No child should ever witness the horrors of war. Please, call on Congress and the White House to protect Sudan’s kids and push for peace. [[link removed]]
The situation there has spiraled, with hostilities spreading across the country. 4.9 million people are facing emergency food insecurity – but in conflict-affected areas, more than 70% of health facilities aren’t functioning.
Risks of avoidable death are rapidly increasing as humanitarian workers struggle to reach the most vulnerable. It’s a truly unimaginable tragedy, John.
This fighting has to stop. Urge your lawmakers to press for an immediate ceasefire – and ensure kids like Nagi* can access lifesaving support. [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
