Here’s a fact that most folks don’t realize: control of state legislatures can often be decided by a few hundred votes. 

Just look at states like Minnesota, Michigan, and Pennsylvania that have razor-thin margins in their state legislatures. The State House and Senate races that ultimately decide control are *always* close — sometimes even decided by a coin flip, like in Virginia just a few years ago.
