TAMMY BALDWIN FOR SENATE

It’s Scott, Tammy’s campaign manager.

I wanted to make sure you saw yesterday’s polling update from Marquette University Law School, Wisconsin’s most trusted pollster.

Tammy is tied, 50-50, with Republican Eric Hovde.

Since launching his campaign, Tammy’s megamillionaire opponent has already flooded Wisconsin with more than $4 million worth of ads.

With Wisconsin’s Senate race tied, here’s what is going to happen next:

Hovde’s going to up his ad blitz and put even more pressure on our campaign. He already loaned his campaign $8 million this year, and he’s pledged to spend at least $20 million of his personal fortune to win this race.

Dark money groups and right-wing super PACs are going to swoop in to support him. Tammy’s already facing attacks from multiple groups, and those attacks are only going to ramp up as national Republicans see this race is up for the taking.

How we respond will be critically important to the success of our campaign. We’ll need to launch more ads of our own, fight back against Hovde’s attacks, and make sure voters know Tammy’s record of results in the Senate. But we can’t do any of that without your support.

Will you chip in to help Tammy defend Wisconsin’s Senate seat from the out-of-state megamillionaire trying to buy it? I wouldn’t be asking if it weren’t important.
