The Morris County Democratic Committee is deeply saddened to announced that Gerald Carlson, father of MCDC Executive Director Scott Carlson, has passed away. Gerald Carlson was born on April 22, 1932. He studied art and worked for over 40 years as a design draftsman, most notably playing a role in the development of the space shuttles Columbia and Challenger. He was the loving father of Scott and grandfather of Haley and Evan. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne and brother Doug. An avid baseball fan, Scott will forever cherish memories made at the Baseball Hall of Fame during their annual family trips. Gerald was a humble, caring, and generous man, and he will be missed dearly by his family, friends and neighbors at Brookside Senior Living in Parsippany. A small family service will be planned in the coming months. Our thoughts are with Scott and his family at this difficult time.
