Hellbent on forcing women to carry unwanted pregnancies to full term — even in instances of rape or incest — Republicans defied efforts by Democrats to force an immediate vote on repealing the ban, which was literally written *by a child rapist* when slavery was still a thing and women weren't allowed to vote. After they shot down the repeal effort, Republicans clapped and cheered in celebration of their ignorance and cruelty. The calendar may say 2024, but it's quite clear just how far they plan to roll things back when they scream "make America great again!" Please remember in November.
