They
want to build a wall ...
The only legitimate wall is one around private property, and
there's one in need of building. A wall that will actually help
make a huge difference, and help fight poverty and the government
at the same time.
While the United States is fighting the pandemic, Americans
still have the ability to purchase essential living
supplies. The people of Uganda do not have the same luxuries
and are currently struggling to just to receive enough food to eat.
In Uganda, the government has ordered all markets shut down. The
military has taken over the entire food distribution chain and
people are starving. The government is delivering food to small
local stores, but since most people are living hand to mouth and
can't work, they don't have any money to buy it.
In an act of civil disobedience, a group of
Libertarian Ugandans have been building a farm to be able to
produce and distribute food. While this is still illegal, it could
save many lives. They are willing to take the risk in this
courageous act of civil disobedience.
But they need our help. Wild animals are a problem on this farm,
and they need to build a fence to keep them from eating the
crops. It's a small amount for us, but for them it's a lot. I have
already started by donating the first $100. I am also facilitating
the collection of funds myself, because there aren't any good
options for crowd funding in Uganda. Once we meet the goal, I will
send the funds so they can build the fence.
There's one more thing. Prices are quickly rising there, and
this fence is already more expensive today than it was last month,
especially with the effects of the coroavirus on the economy. So we
need to act fast. I know this is a tough time for all of us, but we
have to consider that they already have so much less than us. We
are in this together - not just one group of people who are
controlled by one government, but all of us around the world who
face the oppression of many governments. We have to work together.
We truly are creating a worldwide grassroots liberty movement.
