Friend, a recent report found that we have to TRIPLE our rate of emission reductions to meet California’s goals.

EnviroVoters has a proven track record of getting transformational climate justice policies passed in California. But we’re just five days away from Earth Day and not enough halfway toward our $5,000 fundraising goal. We need to be upping our efforts, not scaling back.

Will you pitch in a few dollars to make sure EnviroVoters continues to have a global climate impact?

Thank you, as always, for your support.

Subject: The LA Times REALLY hit the nail on the head:

Hi friend,

The nonpartisan nonprofit Next 10 recently released its 2023 California Green Innovation Index, which tracks the state’s progress on greenhouse gas emissions reduction, technological innovation, and clean job growth.

The headline from the LA Times really says it all:

“California is poised to fail to meet its ambitious greenhouse gas reduction goals by the end of the decade unless it can triple its efforts to reduce carbon emissions statewide.”

We don’t have the luxury of taking small and incremental steps to transition to clean energy to reduce emissions. We need big, bold action — NOW!

So with Earth Day less than two weeks away, we’re looking for grassroots supporters willing to step up and help us fight for our future. Even $15 would make a world of difference to us and our efforts to advance bold climate action, friend.

I want to be clear about something, friend: I understand that the steady barrage of climate news can make us feel overwhelmed.

But it’s also a reminder that we have the power within us to create massive and consequential change. Remember, California had a landmark year for climate action in 2022 and followed it up by passing an internationally impactful corporate accountability package of bills in 2023.

It’s on us to keep the pressure on our leaders to triple our efforts to cut carbon emissions and meet our climate goals.

Here’s what it’ll take — if everyone reading this email chipped in just a few dollars, we’d have the resources we need to educate and advocate for the necessary comprehensive climate solutions and hold climate delayers accountable.

We’re making steady progress on our $5,000 Earth Day goal, but we’re in danger of falling behind. We just need a few more gifts to keep us on track.

Will you make a special one-time gift today, or pledge as little as $2 a month, to allow us to continue to fight for the urgent legislation we need to reduce emissions, kickstart the transition from fossil fuels, and make California a leader in the global green revolution?

This Earth Day, let’s do something big. Let’s show our love to our planet and communities by powering the fight for bold, swift climate action.

We’re counting on your support!
