John,
There is no Planet B.
That’s why here at Sister District, we’re celebrating Earth Month by doubling down on our plan to build long-term progressive power in the states — a crucial component of combating climate change and protecting the environment across the nation.
About 75% of the country’s climate goals will be met at the state and local level.1 But combatting the climate crisis can only happen if we have bold climate champions in our state legislatures.
This Earth Month, will you pitch in $20.24 to help us elect progressive state legislators who will fight to preserve our environment?

Since our founding, we’ve been proud to elect state legislators who continue to make climate policy a priority. And we’re looking forward to electing even more this November!
These are just some of the things our Sister District alum are doing to protect our planet:
- In Arizona, Rep. Lorena Austin has focused on fighting climate change and developing sustainable plans for water use.
- In Virginia, Del. Phil Hernandez is working to limit emissions, boost clean energy, and conserve the natural environment.
- And in Wisconsin, Rep. Lee Snodgrass has authored over 20 bills on climate mitigation, pollinator protections, and outdoor recreation in just her first term.
This November, we’re targeting seven battleground states, with two more in our sights for potential expansion. In Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, we’re targeting key races that have the potential to flip statehouses blue and eliminate environmental protection opponents from the majority.
But it’s going to take a lot of resources to make sure those candidates win their elections, and we can’t do any of it without your support. As a grassroots organization, everything we accomplish is thanks to the volunteers and small-dollar donors who put their time, energy, and money into making this work a success.
With so much on the line for the Earth and for the country this November, please don’t sit this one out! Pitch in $20.24 or any amount you can to help us build progressive power in battleground states:
Thank you,
Sister District HQ
