Donald Trump is willing to do or say whatever he needs to in order to win.

Not only are his recent comments saying he'd leave abortion up to the states chilling enough – about half of all states have outlawed or restricted abortion since 2022 – but this is the man who orchestrated the end of Roe v. Wade after 49 years of protection.

Here's what "leaving it up to the states" really means:

Arizona's Supreme Court just upheld a law from 1864 that almost completely criminalizes abortion. 1864. This law was written when black women were still enslaved and subject to forcible rape. This law was written before any woman had the right to vote. Does this law make sense in 2024?

This is about the fundamental right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that we will lose if someone as cruel and careless as Donald Trump wins a second term in the White House.
