This poll needs to be a wakeup call for our entire movement.
For years, AIPAC and other right-wing billionaires have advertised their plans to bully progressive champions like Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee, and AOC out of Congress.
We’ve known who their top targets are.
We’ve known how much they were willing to spend.
We’ve sounded the alarm about it countless times.
This is why.
According to the latest FEC filings, AIPAC has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Jamaal’s opponent George Latimer — on top of the $100 million they pledged to take down The Squad.1 The fact that this race is neck-and-neck is proof that we can’t take anything for granted.
And while we’re not going to fill your inbox with panicky emails about how the sky is falling, it IS important that we take their opposition — and more importantly, the impact their financial backing has — seriously.
They have the money. We have the people. And we have the power to out-organize them. But it’s going to take a whole lot of us, pitching in however we can, to make it happen.
