Dear John,
As a Physician-Legislator, I have a unique opportunity to share a perspective in the State House that centers the fight for affordable and accessible healthcare in my experience treating patients and working in the healthcare field.
Non-compete covenants prevent patients from seeing the physicians they want and drive health professionals to leave our state, making healthcare more challenging. That’s why I am proud to sponsor legislation that would end non-compete covenants for physicians and other health professionals.
This legislation passed the State House today with a large bipartisan majority. The bill allows patients to see the physicians they want and empowers physicians and other health professionals to work where they feel they can best care for patients.
Being the only physician in our legislature gives me a powerful voice to make improvements in healthcare like this. Can you support me to continue to allow me to do so?
Sincerely, Rep. Arvind Venkat, MD |
