Dear John,
John McGuire is lying again. This time he sent out an email claiming he outraised our campaign.
The truth is Good for Congress raised $307,617 from mostly Virginians across the 5th District. And, I am humbled by each and every one of the 1,646 contributions I received in the first three months of 2024.
McGuire for Virginia raised $290,326 which is LESS than our campaign raised. Of that approximately 10% came from Virginians across the 5th District with only 11 individual donors being reported.
Included in McGuire's total is $10,000 from former Speaker Kevin McCarthy's California-based PAC and a donation from one of RINO Denver Riggleman's consultants. In fact, an overwhelming majority of his big dollar donors are from outside Virginia -- let alone the 5th District. His campaign finance report is a "who's who" of Swamp lobbyists and RINO donors around the country. They are all joining in on the former Speaker's revenge tour against me.
This is not the first time McGuire lied about his fundraising. If you remember, the Daily Mail wrote a story ([link removed]) which pointed out that he lied to you about his last three months of fundraising. Last November, McGuire claimed he brought in $250,000 in donations in just 48 hours after announcing his bid. But Federal Election Committee (FEC) filings ([link removed]) show that John only raised $212,421.86 in total for the entire fourth quarter.
Just like Biden and the Democrats, John McGuire makes stuff up and hopes you won't notice that it's not the truth. He simply cannot be trusted to represent us.
