As a mom of three school-aged children here in Virginia – one in elementary school, one in middle school, and one in high school, and as a proud product of Virginia public schools, I know that our public education system is one of the most important tools we have to build the next generation of leaders.

We must provide our public schools with the resources they need to flourish — including paying teachers and staff what they deserve. We need to recognize the invaluable contributions of our educators and make sure they have the tools necessary to guide our children toward success. Additionally, we cannot afford to overlook the significance of strengthening our workforce training programs and supporting Virginia's terrific higher education institutions.

I am committed to championing these causes as your next Governor. Together, we will tackle the teacher shortages, address learning loss, and recognize the value of investing in our public schools. Every dollar we invest in our public schools is an investment in our future.
