Last month, the U.K. high court demanded that our government provide certain assurances in the effort to extradite the world’s foremost journalist and political prisoner, Julian Assange.

Those “assurances” were filed with the court yesterday.

We now have just over one month until Assange appears before the high court one last time for a final appeal.

We need to exert maximum pressure on the Biden administration to DROP these charges, end their assault on the free press, and set Julian free. Will you add your name today?

<[link removed]> <[link removed]>Free Assange NOW <[link removed]>The United States government has outrageously charged Assange with violations of the Espionage Act – an antiquated law that explicitly prohibits defendants from invoking their right to free expression as a defense.

Unsurprisingly, it has been used almost exclusively to persecute whistleblowers, activists, and journalists like Julian Assange.

Three American presidents – two Democrats and one Republican – have targeted Assange. We are calling on President Biden to end his part in this dark chapter today.

<[link removed]>Free Assange NOW <[link removed]>If the ludicrous, unfounded charges against Assange are allowed to stand, it will silence journalists around the world and send a clear message to every despot that they can commit their war crimes out in the open without any fear of accountability.

We see that in Israel today, where the IDF is publishing their war crimes on social media for all the world to see – and facing no consequences.

We need a president committed to defending free expression, transparency, and accountability. If Biden won’t do it, you can be assured that I will.

As president, I will drop the case against Julian Assange on Day 1 in the White House. I will restore our nation’s commitment to a free press by ending the outrageous practice of targeting journalists and whistleblowers under the Espionage Act.
