Dear Neighbor,
One of the best parts of my job is speaking with students and sharing my story about what inspired me to run for Congress.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting with several student groups from our district. These students are the next generation of leaders in our community and after meeting with them, I know we have a bright future ahead of us.
At the end of March, I had the chance to chat with a few Whittier Union High School Model U.N. students during their visit to Capitol Hill!
These young leaders are passionate about global issues, and I know they will make a big difference in our future as diplomats and elected officials. Keep up the great work!
Last week, I welcomed 8th grade students from Montebello Christan School for their annual D.C. visit. It was great to show them around my office and speak a little about the work I’m doing on behalf of their families.
I hope you all enjoyed your time in D.C. and made it back home safely!
And just a few days ago, I met with a group of Cal Poly Pomona students on the Capitol steps.
We discussed the importance of supporting Hispanic-Serving Institutions and how Congress can continue to support our Latino and undocumented students. Thank you so much for your advocacy and much-needed work in this space.
Thanks again to everyone who has stopped by! I always enjoy welcoming you into our nation’s capital!
Are you planning a visit to Washington, D.C.? Whether you’re coming on a short business trip or an extended family vacation, my Washington, D.C. office can help you plan tours for the most popular attractions in the city.
