Texas Values is seeking motivated university, graduate, and law school students to intern in our Austin office (or remotely with special approval) who have a passion to promote biblical values and have the desire to learn more about law, public policy, and the political and grassroots process in Texas.

We will also be offering, for the first time, internship opportunities for those interested in social media, video production, and marketing. Former interns of Texas Values have gone on to work at the Texas Capitol, received admission to graduate school and law school, offered and accepted positions in Washington, D.C. and at top businesses and law firms, and currently leading national faith and family nonprofit organizations. 

Texas Values has led the passage of game-changing laws like Texas Heartbeat Law, the Freedom to Worship Law (government can’t close churches), The Merry Christmas Law, The Save Women’s Sports Law, and the Ban on Gender Modification for Kids. Texas Values and/or its team members have been involved in major court victories at the trial level, at the Texas Supreme Court and the U. S. Supreme Court. Texas Values has the largest and one of the most well respected and productive traditional media and social media presence in the state of Texas. Texas Values has a weekly podcast and radio show that’s been running consistently since 2017. Texas Values has working relationships with national organizations such as Family Policy Alliance, Family Research Council, Alliance Defending Freedom, Heritage Foundation, First Liberty Institute, and many more. Texas Values is the official Family Policy Council (FPC) for Texas, associated with Focus on the Family.

Responsibilities of Interns:

  • Support senior staff in the day-to-day operations of the Austin office
  • Complete various research and special projects
  • Manage various data entry projects
  • Assist with web and social media outlets
  • Deliver information to offices at the Texas Capitol and other government offices
  • Participate in Texas Values summer educational events
  • Dress professionally and appropriately for a variety of settings

Qualifications:

  • Committed to the Texas Values mission and vision
  • Available to work 10 – 20 hours/week around class schedule at our Austin office (or remotely by approval)
  • Self-motivated and highly organized individual
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Mature and active Christian
  • Open to growth and development of highly sought after leadership skills
  • Motivated to accomplish greatness and do extraordinary work for faith, family and freedom in Texas.
