BIDEN'S LONG HISTORY AS A DRUG WARRIOR.
John,
During his time in the Senate, Joe Biden was instrumental in the passage of
the 1994 CRIME BILL, which had a significant impact on drug policy.
This legislation increased penalties for drug offenses and led to a
dramatic rise in incarceration rates, particularly for NON-VIOLENT drug
offenders.
The bill also introduced the controversial "THREE STRIKES" rule, which
mandated life sentences for repeat offenders.
Notably, the crime bill has DONE NOTHING to curb drug abuse and overdoses
but has been highly successful in tearing apart families over non-violent
acts.

believes the best way to solve America's drug problems is by using the

would empower individuals to make choices about their own lives without
undue government interference.
