Arizona Republicans just failed to repeal the 1864 abortion ban.
It’s been over a week since the Arizona Supreme Court’s devastating ruling that takes us back to the Civil War era. The next day, Democratic lawmakers tried to force a vote on repealing the ban, but extremist Republicans refused and went home instead.
Since then, millions of Arizonans — including myself — have urged the state legislature to do what’s right, and once again, Republican lawmakers have let the 1864 abortion ban prevail.
