Last month, as news broke and it became clear that the COVID-19 pandemic would have health and economic implications on everyone’s daily lives, our campaign decided to pause our fundraising online.

We did all this for a simple reason: Now is the time to focus on your personal health, the health of your family, friends, and the well-being of your community.

I am writing to thank you, because in so many ways, I’ve never been more grateful for this team of grassroots supporters. You stepped up and contributed to the nonprofits working on the frontlines to stop the spread of coronavirus and help those affected by it. You read and adhered to CDC guidance. Some of you even forwarded that guidance to friends and family, making sure our entire community is informed.

So, John, there’s still a lot I’m thankful for. I will continue to monitor the situation closely, work with my colleagues in the House, and continue to work every day for my constituents. Thank you for all you’re doing, too.
