Dear John,
Israel is under attack.
This past Saturday, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched more than 300 rockets in an unprecedented, direct attack on the Jewish State of Israel.
Thankfully, reports from the Israeli Defense Forces note that 99 percent of those rockets failed to reach their targets as they were shot down by Israeli defense systems, such as the Iron Dome and David's Sling, along with assistance from their allies like the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.
Many experts believe this brazen attack by Iran has opened a new chapter in the conflict in the Middle East. While most of the world assumed that Iran was behind Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, it is now out in the open. But what will the Biden administration do now?
The answer is simple: next to nothing.
After the attack, Biden called a G7 meeting with the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan to "coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran's brazen attack." Publicly, Biden applauds Prime Minister Netanyahu's measures of self-defense, but privately, it is openly reported that he is urging him not to respond to Iran's attack.
Why would Biden actively discourage Israel from defending itself? John Kirby, the White House national security spokesman, told NBC News on Sunday morning, "We don't want to see this escalate; we're not looking for a wider war with Iran."
However, it is arguable that the reason Israel was attacked in the first place was because Iran perceived weakness in Israel's response in Gaza as they were repeatedly hindered by the Biden administration.
The Biden administration must learn the lessons of history and realize appeasement doesn't work -- it only signals weakness. It's time to stand resolutely and unequivocally with Israel. Both our national security and global security hinge on the strength of our greatest ally in the Middle East: Israel.
That's why we are calling on Bible-believing Christians across America to unite and join us in praying for and standing with Israel on Sunday, May 19. We are also asking that churches dedicate part of their worship services that day to praying for Israel's peace, prosperity, and protection. Click here to sign the pledge to pray for Israel and make plans to join us in this nationwide movement.
Will you stand with FRC as we stand with Israel?

When I was in Israel recently, I had the privilege of meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, who told me, "If [Israel is not] decisive in our victory against Hamas, it's going to incite Iran directly to attack us."
It seems like his prediction was exactly right.
What happened Saturday was a result of the Biden administration vacillating in its support of Israel and many on the Left tacitly supporting Israel's opponents.
This is the greatest threat that the nation of Israel has seen since its founding almost 76 years ago, and if we depart from our commitment to stand with Israel, I fear for our country's future.
John, it is absolutely critical that Christians in America and around the world stand with Israel, protect Israel's right to defend itself, and work to contain this conflict so that it doesn't threaten global peace.
Even if the Biden administration and Congress don't give Israel the support it needs and deserves, Family Research Council remains committed to standing with Israel and its people against the hostility it is facing.
The Bible makes clear that the Lord has a special plan and purpose for the land of Israel. It's because of our obedience and desire to serve Him that we intercede for Israel.
On Sunday, May 19, FRC is calling on the church to unite together in obedience to the Bible's call to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" (Psalm 122:6). Will you join together with FRC in Israel's critical hour?
STAND WITH FRC
We have a presidential administration that is going back and forth between supporting those who support Hamas and standing with not only a strategic political ally but, more importantly, a spiritually significant ally.
This is a defining moment for our country. Will the United States stand resolutely with Israel? Or will the vacillation of the Biden administration -- which I believe contributed to Iran's decision to attack Israel -- continue until we have totally turned our back on Israel?
Israel is fighting for its survival. Once again, we are reminded that we live in times of great uncertainty, both at home and abroad. But we've been given clear instructions on how we, as followers of Jesus Christ, are to respond. We're to stand firm in the truth of God.
Jesus warned us that these days would be coming. God does not want us to be anxious. He does not want us to worry about this; He wants us to go to work.
As we read the book of Joshua in our Stand on the Word Bible Reading Plan, we are inspired by Joshua's courage as he led the Israelites into the promised land.
Compared to Joshua, the work God has called us to do looks different, but His presence still goes with us. As God told Joshua, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
Although we may not have the political authority to negotiate and make decisions for our government, as believers, we've been given the keys to the kingdom, and we need to exercise those keys. We need to pray that God would show Himself mighty to save.
Thank you for joining FRC in praying for and standing with Israel in this critical hour.
