Washington lawmakers have made real progress in curbing gun violence – but last week, our state’s ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines was briefly overturned by a Superior Court judge.

In the 90-minute window before the State Supreme Court issued a stay reinstating the ban, a Washington gun store owner claims to have sold hundreds of high-capacity magazines.

There’s no telling yet what the total impact of this temporary lapse will be, but it’s clear that we can’t afford to be complacent in the fight for gun safety reform.
