Last week, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld a draconian, 1864 abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest.

To put this all into perspective, this Civil War-era law that rips away a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions was passed before Arizona was even a state, worse still, it passed before women even had the right to vote.

This is sickening. Anti-choice extremists are banking on a Republican congress after November to attack women’s freedom everywhere. Will you donate to Pat’s campaign now so he can continue standing up for reproductive freedom in Congress? [[link removed]]

This 160-year-old law also threatens prison time for anyone who assists with an abortion, though Arizona’s Democratic Attorney General, Kris Mayes, has pledged not to prosecute individuals who violate the absurd law.

This speaks to how important elections are. AG Mayes won her election in 2022 by only 280 votes — an astronomically thin margin.

If there’s anyone who knows about eking out a win, it’s Pat. He won his last race by only 3,500 votes. And the margin of victory could be even closer in November.

Elections matter.

Winning or losing Pat’s seat could make the difference between a Democratic House majority passing legislation to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land and a MAGA Republican majority passing legislation that bans abortion in all 50 states.
